When Australian war journalist, bryce wilson photographer first saw the devastation wrought by the war in Ukraine’s east, it was how most saw it – through the keyhole of a computer screen. Australian interest in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict reached its greatest following after the downing of Flight MH17 in 2014, which resulted in the deaths of 27 Australians.
ReplyDeleteAs Bryce sat at his desk being paid for work he detested, he read about and saw the suffering and hardship endured by hundreds of thousands of people in Ukraine. And then it stopped. Australian coverage dried up, so Bryce attempted to fill the space left behind by other media.
